You’ve been holding everything together… until your body stopped coping.

This isn’t random. I look at what’s actually driving these changes so we can work with your body, not just manage symptoms.

If you're late 30's onwards and don’t feel like yourself anymore. And all your usual ways of coping are no longer working, you've tried all sorts, you're taking all the supplements but nothing you’ve tried has really worked. This is often the point I see women reach during perimenopause and menopause.

Most of the people I work with have been managing for years.

They’re capable and used to pushing through, but underneath that they often feel tired, tense, or on edge.

At a certain point, coping is no longer enough. Your body won’t let you carry on in the same way.

I work out what’s actually going on in your body, so you can stop guessing and start understanding what needs to change. I’m highly skilled at recognising what others often miss and turning it into something clear and practical. You’ll leave knowing what’s going on in your body and what needs to happen next.

My Experience

Your Body is Telling a Story. I Know How to Read it.

I’ve been working with women for over ten years, and what they often tell me is that this feels different to anything they’ve experienced before.

Not just in their body, but in how they feel day to day, how they cope, and how they move through their lives.

Many of the women I see reach this point during perimenopause and menopause, when things begin to feel more intense, less predictable, and harder to manage in the way they once did.

My approach is different because I don’t look at one symptom in isolation. I look at you as a whole person, what’s been happening physically, emotionally, and in your life, and how that is showing up in your body.

Over the years, I’ve developed a way of working that allows me to pick up on things that are often missed. Not by guessing, but through experience, observation, and a deep understanding of how the body responds over time.

Women often tell me they feel truly understood in these sessions, sometimes for the first time. That things finally make sense, and they leave with a clarity they haven’t had before.

What Client's say:

"Jill is wonderful..and for once I feel they are helping me no end"

"It was the best appointment I have made; Jill had given me more than I could hope for to mentally deal with the situation. I am enormously grateful to her."

"Jill has a magic and power like no other. She has a wonderful ability to make you feel seen and heard both in the room talking to her and through her healing practice. I didn’t know what I needed when I went to see Jill, and yet she has somehow given me more than I could imagine.

A safe, supportive and nurturing experience I keep coming back to. Thank you Jill!"

This Might Sound Familiar

You may recognise some of the following:

– Jaw tension or teeth clenching

– Shoulders that never fully soften

– Lower back discomfort without a clear injury

– Sleep that doesn’t feel restorative

– Hormonal changes that feel heavier or more noticeable

– Digestive flare-ups during stressful periods

– A sense of always being slightly “on”

You might also notice things like:

– Coping rather than pausing

– Minimising your own discomfort

– Supporting others more easily than asking for support

– Pushing through instead of slowing down

– Assuming this level of tension is just normal

For many women, this becomes more obvious during perimenopause and menopause, when the body is less able to compensate in the way it once did.

Over time, your body adapts to this way of functioning. Muscles stay subtly braced. Breathing becomes shallower. Rest doesn’t fully reset you.

You can feel like you’re always slightly on edge, even when things seem calm on the surface. This isn’t a personal failing, it’s what your body has learned over time.

Your Initial Session & Assessment helps us understand how this is showing up for you, and what needs to change.

How I Assess What is Happening

Using both Reflexology and Energy Work I look at how your body is responding in real time, how stress is being carried, where tension is building, and why things keep cycling rather than fully resolving.

Alongside this, I can feel where your system is overwhelmed.

When anxiety is high.

When sleep isn’t restoring you.

When your body is constantly braced, even if you’re used to functioning that way.

I see this all the time in women in perimenopause and menopause, when the body can no longer cope in the way it once did.

I don’t focus on managing symptoms. I focus on understanding what your body is responding to, so things can actually begin to change.

How you'll Feel

Women are surprised by how closely what I observe reflects what’s been happening in their lives. They often leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more able to cope, as though some of the weight they’ve been carrying has quietly lifted. As we work together, they're sleep improves, anxiety decreases and overwhelm is gone.

What Happens in Your Initial Session & Assessment?

Your initial session & assessment includes:

  • A detailed but unhurried conversation about your current symptoms, health history and overall stress load
  • Observation of your breath, posture and subtle signs of tension or bracing
  • Hands-on Clinical Reflexology to assess and work with what’s showing up in your body
  • Gentle energy regulation woven throughout the session to help your system settle as we work
  • You remain fully clothed throughout. The session is calm, structured and contained.

How it works

Reflexology allows me to identify and work directly with areas where stress is being held physically. At the same time, the energy work supports your system to soften and integrate that work more fully. The two approaches aren’t separate stages, they work together throughout the session.

By the end of the session, many women notice:

  • Softer shoulders and jaw
  • Deeper, easier breathing
  • Clearer thinking
  • A greater sense of steadiness
  • Feeling more resourced and able to cope

You will also leave with:

  • A clear explanation of what I observed
  • Insight into why your symptoms may have been persisting
  • A professional recommendation for what will support you next in your journey through this stage of life

What Happens Next?

At the end of your Initial Session & Assessment, I’ll guide you on what I recommend next.

This is a new stage of life. It can feel confusing, overwhelming, and very different to anything you’ve experienced before.

At this point, the body is holding more, coping less effectively, and no longer responding to quick fixes.

This usually involves a short series of focused sessions, working steadily and allowing your body time to respond.

As your body begins to settle, things start to shift. You feel calmer, clearer, and more able to cope. Sleep improves. Reactions soften. What once felt overwhelming becomes more manageable.

We work together through this change, so you’re not left trying to figure it out on your own.

Over time, that shift carries into the rest of your life. You feel steadier, clearer, and more in control of how you respond.

Frequently asked questions

How many treatments will I need?

Everyone is different and the response to Reflexology can be immediate or sometimes take longer than one appointment, but often benefits can be seen after 4-5 sessions. Regular weekly treatments are best for the body properly beginning the self-healing process, and following an initial consultation I will suggest the number of Reflexology sessions I think we should undertake.

What are your fees and availability?

Reflexology sessions for individuals last 50 minutes and cost £60 per session. I also provide a limited number of appointments for those on low-income; contact me to enquire about availability.

Note that if you want to cancel an appointment I require 48 hours’ notice; otherwise you will still need to pay for any sessions missed. I accept payment in cash, by cheque or by bank transfer.

Can you diagnose my health problems?

Reflexologists cannot claim to diagnose or cure, but during a treatment we get 'feedback' as to which parts of the body are working well and which are not. Sometimes Reflexology will highlight a specific area which is struggling or working hard to maintain your wellbeing; if a particular reflex point shows this kind of reaction I'll discuss it with you at the end of the session.

What happens in a treatment? Do I need to undress?

Reflexology is performed entirely on the feet, ankles or hands, so the most you’ll have to do is take off your socks and roll up your trousers! During the treatment the client lies on their back on a reclining chair, supported by pillows and covered with a soft blanket to keep them warm.

And don’t worry - reflexology doesn't tickle! Many clients come to me with ticklish feet or worried about their feet being touched, but find they can relax and enjoy the benefits of Reflexology.

Does reflexology hurt?

You might find some areas feel sensitive to the touch, but Reflexology does not involve hard pressing in the way something like a sports massage might. As a therapist I will be aware of the status of your feet, noticing how they feel, the temperature and colour. All these things play a part in understanding which areas of your body - as reflected through your feet - require a bit more care and attention.

Should I keep on having Reflexology?

Not necessarily, but after an initial course of treatment many people choose to check in monthly for a top-up, to help maintain their general wellbeing, or as a scheduled 'de-stress'. Other clients will get back in touch if they start feeling aches and pains, arranging treatments as and when they need them.
